The Zionist occupation is an illegitimate one!

The Islamic perspective on the Zionist state is rooted in the Hukum Shara.

Muhammed Al Bashir Al Ibrahimi RA said: “Palestine is the Amanah (trust) of Prophet SAWS with us, the trust of Omar RA, and the Islamic covenant upon our necks. So if the Jews take it from us while we are a large party, indeed, we would then be the losers”.

This remained the normative understanding of all the Ulema throughout our history and is extracted from the two purest sources of Usool, the Quran and Sunnah. Muhammed saws said: "Whoever is appointed as a ruler of the Muslims and he gives away a span of the Muslim land, he will be removed by Allah from the authority. There will be no obligation of allegiance or oath of loyalty for him”. Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim.

Also from the hadith of Ibn 'Umar, who reported that the Messenger of Allah saws said: "If anyone takes a hand span of land unlawfully, his neck will be encircled with it down seven earths on the Day of Resurrection." Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim.

Both ahadith indicate the gravity of giving away and giving up Muslim land, and are connected to the principle of Ghasb, which means to seize (or be seized of) something wrongfully or by force, which is forbidden based on the speech of Allah azwajal in the Quran: “And eat up not one another’s property unjustly (in any illegal way, e.g. stealing, robbing, deceiving)” Al-Baqarah 2:188.

Essentially our right to Al Aqsa is fixed by the text of the Quran, and consequently so is the necessity of its liberation, when Allah swt said: "Exalted is He who took His Servant by night from al-Masjid al-Haram to al-Masjid al-Aqsa, whose surroundings We have blessed, to show him of Our signs. Indeed, He is the Hearing, the Seeing" Surah Al-Israa ayah 1.

Even under the flimsy, benefit ridden, ever evolving International Law the annexation and occupation of land amounts to an act of aggression, and any other form of sovereignty asserted over it is forbidden. Likewise colonisation; the process of settling among and establishing control over indigenous people and plundering resources, is also illegal.
